Omdan Advisory+Action was founded by Dan Kristian Kristensen in 2018.
The focus of the company is to provide strategic guidance on matters related to sustainability and circular economy particular in relation to the food system.
Omdan Advisory+Action is also my platform for start-up ventures and selected projects.

Background
I am a sustainability geek and I am very passionate about agendas related to circular economy and regenerative thinking/practices, particular related to the transformation of the food system.
With a science background (PhD Aarhus University, department of Agroecology) I approach consulting from a deep knowledge about earth system science - aka the environmental trouble we are facing on this planet.
Knowing the facts is key to appreciate the need and the opportunities to change course and help me identify the most impactful actions to take.
Through my academic work at the intersection of the fields of agro-ecology and science and technology studies (STS) I obtained a solid grounding in systems thinking and developed a skillset for deciphering the complexities of innovation journeys.
Approach
For me sustainability is a positive and highly motivating agenda. Sustainability in my mind is about the opportunities for abundance, creativity and diversity that can be unlocked through regenerative business models and cooperation.
From my work in public organization and with private companies I have concrete experience regarding sustainable future making in the agro food space and with network based innovation at the intersection of the public/private sphere(s).
For example mastering the art of facilitating cooperation and tapping into the capacity for innovation and value creation that collaborations and partnerships between organisations provide.
Ventures
Pursuing my curiosity I have been involved in various ventures as part of my own personal journey. Below are a couple of examples. Both are born from a circular economy mindset and with a ambition to make a positive impact in the world.
I have helped the team behind the start-up STRANDET located on the westcoast of Denmark in Nr. Vorupør.
Through Omdan Advisory+Action I was involved in creating new circular business opportunities for STRANDET.
I am a co-founder of the ambitious international start-up DIVERT.
In DIVERT our mission is to improve the livelihoods of people in the informal sector through the intelligent application of systems design and appropriate technologies.
Currently DIVERT is working to secure funding for the next stage of prototype development.
